At the 2020 Bike Walk Summit, the advocacy award was re-named the Marty Epstein Advocate of the Year Award in honor of the owner of Marty’s Reliable Cycle who put generations of New Jersey families on bikes, started to annual Gran Fondo NJ, and vowed to “save the world with bikes.” This year’s winner included the working group who produced the NJ Complete and Green Streets for all Model Policy and Guide. The working group included members from Tri-State Transportation Campaign, NJDOT, Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers Bloustein, Sustainable Jersey, Transportation Management Associations, NJ Future, Jersey Water Works, NJ Bike Walk Coalition, American Heart Association, Rails to Trails, Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, NJ Conservation Foundation, AARP and NV5.
The Complete and Green Streets for All Model Policy and Guide, supported by the NJ Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, provides a one-stop resource for NJ municipalities, counties, agencies, organizations and advocates with an interest in implementing Complete Streets in their communities and improving safety for everyone through whatever mode they choose to travel.

Congratulations to the working group and keep up the great work!
