After seventeen years in operation, the National Center for Safe Routes to School data system was shut down in 2024. In its absence, users of the National Center data system have been left with decisions regarding future data evaluation for their SRTS programs. This paper explores this history of the usage of Student Travel Tallies in New Jersey and explores alternative measures to evaluate SRTS infrastructure projects within the State.
