This October, lace up your shoes, hop on your bike, and join students and families across the country in celebrating Walk and Bike to School Month!
This month-long celebration is more than just a fun event, it’s part of a nationwide movement to build safer, healthier, and more connected communities. Participating helps:
- Create safer streets by drawing attention to the needs of pedestrians and cyclists,
- Promote healthy, active lifestyles for students and their families,
- Protect the environment by reducing car trips and lowering carbon emissions, and
- Strengthen community connections by bringing families, neighbors, and schools together.
Walk and Bike to School Month is a great opportunity to inspire lasting change and to educate students about their health, the environment, and roadway safety while also providing a fun and exciting activity. Celebrate with your children by leaving the car at home and walking or bicycling to school instead!
