Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, winners worked diligently to offer and expand walk and bike events and programs to their communities. Recognition is valid for three years. Schools and municipalities that have earned NJ Safe Routes Recognition and are also enrolled in the Sustainable Jersey certification program can earn points for both programs.
