The deadline for Safe Routes to School Infrastructure grant applications has been extended to September 18, 2018!  Check out  NJDOT’s press release regarding the extension.  The new application deadline extension allows communities who have not yet completed Student Arrival and Departure Tallies time to do so once the new school year has begun.

Student Arrival and Departure Tallies track the number of children walking and biking to and from school are required when applying for SRTS grants.  The results of the tally will provide valuable information such as estimating traffic congestion and environmental issues, understanding traffic patterns, etc. Completed tallies should be sent to the NJ Safe Routes to School Resource Center where they will be processed. Upon receipt of the Arrival and Departure Tally Forms, an email confirmation and receipt will be sent to the main contact. The receipt can be used as verification of submission for your Safe Routes to School Infrastructure grant application.
