Have you ever thought about how safe or unsafe your driveway is? It’s easy to assume that a driveway is safer than a street. In this new video, the importance of being cautious while pulling in and out of driveways is highlighted, ensuring the safety of people walking and bicycling, especially children, who are most vulnerable in these areas.

Driveways can be a hotspot for crashes involving people walking and bicycling. Children playing, joggers, cyclists, and walkers are often in close proximity to driveways, making it especially important for drivers to exercise caution. The combination of low visibility within the vehicle and the unpredictability of the world around you can lead to negative consequences if not handled with care.

By paying attention to the often-overlooked spaces like driveways, we can create a safer environment for everyone, especially our children. Watch the video, share it with your community, and make sure safety doesn’t end at the crosswalk.
