20150422_080859Students, parents, faculty, and staff in Hunterdon County celebrated NJ Walk and Bike to School Month while also getting their minds ready for state testing. Understanding the strong research suggesting that students who are physically active arrive ready to learn and perform better in class, Hampton Public School’s newly appointed Chief School Administrator Michael Jones organized a two week PARCC testing walking club. During a week of standardized testing, Hampton Public School students met at one of two locations and walked the rest of the way to school! Students were accompanied by school faculty and volunteers. Frenchtown Elementary School and Califon Public School also organized walks during the testing period. We applaud the efforts of these Hunterdon County schools– we’re sure everyone performed their best!

Thanks to HART Transportation Management Association for providing the pictures and coordinating these walks to school during testing!!
