It’s important to stay active during these difficult times so keep walking and bicycling!
Social distancing and staying at home doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy the outdoors! Walking and bicycling are wonderful forms of physical activity that you and your family can enjoy as long as you’re not sick and appropriate distancing is maintained of at least six feet or the length of a bicycle.
Every community in New Jersey is serviced by a non-profit Transportation Management Association (TMA) that has Safe Routes Regional Coordinators who can offer free assistance with walking and bicycling events. TMAs are an excellent resource for information related to walking and bicycling in your community, and you shouldn’t hesitate to reach out your Safe Routes Coordinator during this challenging time. They are available and able to assist you! Contact your Safe Routes to School Regional Coordinator
