If you live or work in Somerset County, RideWise is your Transportation Management Association (TMA). RideWise offers a variety of programs centered on environmentally friendly transportation and connecting partners with the smartest and most sustainable ways to navigate Somerset County. RideWise works with schools throughout Somerset County to help them implement their own Safe Routes to School programs by offering assistance with a variety of programs including Walk and Bike to School Days, Walking School Buses, Bike Trains, Safety Town courses, walkability and bikability audits, and mapping and traffic studies.

RideWise Inc. has a busy schedule gearing up for May with National Walk and Bike to school month. Kicking off locally, RideWise plans to partner with the Department of Human Services in Somerset County to organize a helmet drive to raise awareness for the importance of bicycle safety. Bicycle and safety clinics are to be held within the local municipalities. The Manville school district has been collaborating with RideWise to bring Safe Routes to School Programs into their 3 schools, as well as redoing the schools drop off and pick up procedures. North Plainfield’s school district has kicked off a Street-Smart Campaign as well as doing Safety Town in the West End Elementary School. Bernardsville has also been working close with representatives as we are having a bicycle clinic at the Liberty Corner Elementary School, as well as an upcoming Street-Smart Campaign planned for this fall. Lastly, RideWise will be joining Robert Morris School in South Bound Brook on their Safety Day in late April.
